Possible Coronavirus Treatments through Different Medicinal Ways and Herbs. Medically Observed Best Ways to Treat Coronavirus
While the number of people infected with the coronavirus is increasing worldwide, efforts to develop a vaccine have also intensified.
The cure for the disease has not yet been discovered, but with the onset of the epidemic Worldwide, there has been a flurry of messages on social media claiming that various medicines, herbs, or everyday food items are being used to treat the disease. It has been declared as a helper in recovery or its treatment.
While the drug used to treat ginger and clonage or malaria originated with chloroquine, it is now the city of injectables called Actemra and herbs called Senna (English Name), and there is a general perception of such drugs and herbs. Corona is helping to prevent the spread of the virus in the patient's body.
The BBC, with the help of medical and nutritionists, sought to ascertain the veracity of the claims that these drugs and tips were helpful in the treatment of corona.
According to doctors, since there is no certified treatment for the coronavirus, only medical assistance is being provided to patients with the virus, which includes the use of various medications and medical devices.
Use of Chloroquine
Long before Aktimar, there have been cases of chloroquine, a drug used in the treatment of malaria, being used in patients in Corona, Pakistan.
When it became common in Pakistan to use this medicine for the treatment of Corona patients, the price of the medicine, which was available for Rs. 60, started selling for up to Rs. 4,000.
In March, the US Food and Drug Administration approved the use of the drug in a limited number of hospitals in emergencies. But the following month, the agency issued a drug warning after some patients developed heart problems.
Scientists are still concerned about the use of the drug to treat coronavirus.
Hydroxychloroquine is safe to treat in diseases such as malaria and arthritis, but no research has yet suggested that it be used to treat COVID-19.
Tests at the University of Minnesota in the United States have also shown that hydroxychloroquine is not effective in treating the coronavirus.
However, the drug is being researched in several countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, and Senegal. The WHO had earlier stopped testing the drug but said in a statement on June 3 that the series would be resumed.
Dr. Asad Aslam, CEO of Mayo Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan (which have now more than 100,000 confirmed cases) told the BBC that chloroquine was used in his hospital for patients with mild symptoms of the mild corona, which improved their condition.
However, according to Dr. Javed Akram, vice-chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, the use of chloroquine was primarily approved for the treatment of malaria, and "so far there is no worldwide evidence of its effectiveness against the coronavirus." Therefore, it cannot be said that the patient has recovered from chloroquine.
He added that in most patients with coronavirus, the symptoms of the disease are mild anyway and the patient with such symptoms improves automatically.
Treatment of Corona Patients using Plasma
In addition to these drugs, another thing that came to the fore in the treatment of corona patients was to take the plasma of people who had recovered from the virus and use it to treat the sick.
Following the news of better results from this treatment, it was seen that not only plasma donation appeals were made on social media but also groups were formed to connect a healthy patient with the family of a critically ill patient. So that they can take the plasma of a healthy patient.
According to doctors, who treat patients with coronavirus with plasma, more than 85% of patients with the virus recover after showing mild symptoms due to antibodies (IgM) present in the human body. The number of critically ill patients will be about ten percent.
He said that covalent plasma contains the same antibody that fights against the virus and kills it.
"We take the blood of a patient who is recovering from the coronavirus into the body of a critically ill patient, extract plasma from it and inject it into the blood of a patient who is seriously ill."
According to doctors, this method is not new but has been used to treat a variety of infectious diseases since the time when vaccines were not developed.
According to him, the treatment of critically ill patients with the help of plasma is the best way.
How Helpful is Actemra Injection Treatment?
Doctors, who treat patients with COVID-19 at Hospitals, say the injection is being used for corona patients and that it is in the patient's organs. Prevents inflammation so that these organs are not damaged.
He said that in critically ill patients, it is common for the virus to invade and damage most parts of the patient's body, leading to sepsis, which can be fatal.
According to him, the health of the patients who have been tested for this injection has definitely improved but this injection may not be beneficial for every patient as it is used only on the patient who is not seriously ill.
"If this injection is used on time, it can prevent damage to organs. We use this injection on the patient for three consecutive days.
"It's not that the injection is necessary," he added. It can only be helpful during treatment if applied at such a time.
He also said that every patient's body reacts differently to each medicine, so it is not correct to say that it will be effective for all.
According to doctors, the same complaint is being made by everyone regarding this injection that it is not available in the market and if anyone is getting it, it is being sold at high prices.
Indigenous Treatment
Along with allopathic remedies, there is also a lot of advice from the public to try indigenous remedies for the treatment of coronavirus, and one of the top advice today is the use of coffee beans.
The use of Senna Herb leaves has long been recommended by physicians and physicians for stomach ailments, especially for constipation.
Talking about the benefits and harms of using SENNA (Herb) , nutritionists said that people are sharing tips on social media without thinking that Sana Mickey can cure coronavirus.
He said that herbal medicines and herbs have anti-inflammatory properties in the human body, such as plain lemongrass coffee, it also relieves bronchitis and sore throat.
However, he said, "The effect of Senna coffee is warming, so when it is used, the patient's stomach gets upset, which leads to a lack of salts in his body, which is a problem for Corona's patients." It can be extremely dangerous.
He also said that the use of Senna could be more harmful, especially for patients with high blood pressure, kidney, and liver.
"If a person uses too much of this herb, it can permanently damage some part of that person's stomach."
